Narraway Recovers from Crash to Finish 15th on Stage 3

Bermudian cyclist Nicholas Narraway produced a resilient ride on Stage 3 of the 75th Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe, placing 15th just a day after suffering a heavy crash. The 149.4km road race from Le Gosier to Capesterre-Belle-Eau posed a stern physical test, but Narraway shook off hand and leg abrasions sustained in the closing 40 kilometres of Stage 2 to finish alongside the leading bunch. Narraway stopped the clock in 3 hours, 28 minutes, and 57 seconds, a performance that saw him make significant gains in the overall standings. Fellow Bermudian Kaden Hopkins, riding for Atom 6 Bikes - Cycleur de Luxe - Auto Stroo Team, crossed the line in 73rd place with a time of 3:33:59, unfortunately for Hopkins he was riding a soft tubeless tires for the last 40k and no chance of changing wheels due to the high speed of the peloton. Narraway’s hard-fought finish rewarded him with a jump up the general classification leaderboard. He now sits 24th overall with a cumulative time of 7:27:16. Hopkins, who claimed victory in the opening individual time trial of the 10-stage race, slid down the overall standings to 50th place with a total time of 7:31:03.
