ACE Programme edge Jeffers & Phoenix in High-Scoring Final

The ACE Programme held their nerve in a thrilling finish to edge Cameron Jeffers and Bristol West Indian Phoenix CC by 10 runs to lift the Syd Lawrence Cup at The Rose Green Centre. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the ACE Programme posted an imposing total of 288-8 from their allotted 40 overs. K Grant anchored the innings with a fluent top score of 59, backed up by aggressive contributions down the order. Bermudian all-rounder Jeffers was heavily involved with the ball, picking up two wickets from his eight overs to finish with figures of 2-59, while J Grosvenor claimed 2-37 from his five-over spell. Phoenix mounted a spirited pursuit in response, paced by an authoritative knock of 77 from Neiland Cadogan.
