Monday, August 31, 2026

Spectators at the PCC Hockey Rink were treated to a 24-goal bonanza as the Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey season continued with an action-packed double-header. Mason's Pylons held off a spirited challenge from Jingles Jawbreakers in a 7-5 thriller, while McKee Swizzle Magnets emerged victorious by the same 7-5 scoreline against Rev Auto Rippers. Mason's Pylons relied on balanced scoring across their forward lines to claim a thrilling 7-5 victory over Jingles Jawbreakers. Richard Campbell, Ryan Bates, and Bruce Sinclair each struck twice for the Pylons, with Maxime Boivin adding a single marker to round out an explosive team performance. Despite the defeat, Jingles' Adam Mattatal produced the individual display of the match with a superb hat-trick. Matthew Ingleman and James Amaral chipped in with a goal apiece, but the Jawbreakers could not bridge the late deficit. The evening's second fixture delivered equal excitement as McKee Swizzle Magnets outgunned Rev Auto Rippers in another high-octane 7-5 encounter. Jake Fenske and Josh Wilson led the charge for the Swizzle Magnets with a brace each, while Shawn McKee and Ryan Wilson also found the back of the net to anchor the offensive effort. The Rippers stayed within striking distance throughout courtesy of doubles from Matthew Benson and Chris Grantier, alongside individual efforts from Pete Brodsky and Johnny Moran, but the Magnets held firm in the decisive moments to secure the points.
