Bermudian defender Lauren Cardwell helped University of Toronto Varsity Blues extend their perfect start to the 2026 pre-season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Western University alumni. Following on from their opening 4-1 triumph over the Varsity Blues Alumni, Toronto produced an authoritative display at both ends of the pitch. Cardwell anchored a disciplined defensive backline that gave up few scoring opportunities, securing a clean sheet while Toronto's forward line clinically capitalised on their chances to register five unanswered goals.
