Junior Swimmers Continue Pan Pacific Championships

Bermuda’s junior swimmers delivered another competitive session of racing as action continued at the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships at the UBC Aquatic Centre in Vancouver, Canada. Taking to the pool for the preliminary heats, the island's contingent produced solid swims across distance freestyle, form stroke, and sprint disciplines against elite opposition from around the Pacific rim. Mewett secures top-16 finish Teagan Mewett produced a standout sprint in the Women's 13-18 50m Breaststroke preliminaries, stopping the clock in 35.35 seconds to earn an impressive 16th-place finish overall. In the Men's 13-18 50m Breaststroke heats, Noah Maranzana took to the lane and touched the wall in 33.45 seconds to secure 22nd place. Solid shifts in distance and stroke heats Katherine Wheddon tackled the demanding Women's 13-18 400m Freestyle preliminaries, executing a disciplined race to finish 21st overall in a time of 4 minutes 45.91 seconds. In the butterfly events, Logan Jones dipped under the minute mark in the Men's 13-18 100m Butterfly preliminaries, clocking 59.87 seconds to claim 25th place. Connor Hupman was also back in the water for the Men's 13-18 200m Backstroke, recording a composed 2:12.70 to secure 25th overall.
